“Cy” Wellington Dies.
Monday, May 31st., Att’y Cyrus Wellington died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. W. Helmbold, in Balsam Lake, Wis. Death was due to locomotor ataxia from which he had suffered several years.
Att’y Wellington was a practicing lawyer in Decorah about a quarter of a century, being associated with Judge Willett and later with C. P. Brown. From Decorah he moved to St. Paul where he became chief counsel for the Great Northern railroad. He quit practice about four years ago on account of blindness. He served in the Civil War but did not accept a pension till two years ago and then on account of his blindness. He was born in Albany, N. Y., Feb. 22, 1843. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, and a son.—Decorah Journal.
