Died at Stanhope.
E. T. Anderson returned Saturday from Stanhope, Iowa, where he was called to attend the funeral of his brother, Dr.,John G. Anderson, who died on the 13th inst, from a severe attack of pneumonia. Dr. Anderson was born in Pleasant township where he grew to manhood. For some time he was a student in the Decorah Institute and then took a short course in pharmacy at the Highland Park Medical College at Des Moines, following it with a course at the Keokuk Medical College where he graduated last year. He located at Moline, Ill. where he remained for several months. In January last he moved to Stanhope. Here his ability as a physician won splendid recognition and he was soon enjoying an extensive practice. On November 8th he was married to Miss Elsie McFarland of Stanhope.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist church of that place on the 14th inst. and the respect in which Dr. Anderson was held was shown by the large attendance, not only of the town’s people but of people from the surrounding country. It was one of the saddest the community had experienced as well. After years of hard labor the deceased was just beginning to enjoy his reward and the future which presented itself was bright with prospect of success. Particularly touching was the sorrow of the young wife who so soon lost her husband after their wedding. The deep sympathy of the.whole community is extended to her in her bereavement.
During the illness of Dr. Anderson every care and attention that love could think of or money could provide was afforded him. To his brothers and sisters those who knew the deceased during his life in Winneshiek county extend condolence.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Saratoga Cemetery in Stanhope, Iowa and that he was born November 8, 1880 and died December 14, 1904.
