Rachel Gordon was born in Jefferson county Penn., Nov. 30, 1847. With her parents she removed to Houston county, Minn., in 1859. On July 4, 1867, she was married to Robert McMillen, and until her death, Dec. 13, 1904, she was a resident of Hesper township. She leaves to mourn the loss of a loyal wife and an indulgent mother, a husband and a daughter. Four sisters, four brothers and community of sympathizing friends and neighbors also share in the loss. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church on the afternoon of the 15th. Rev. H. C. Carter officiated.
