Mrs. John Peterson, Jr., died of tuberculosis last Saturday evening after a long illness. The deceased, whose maiden name was Lena Gunderson, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Gunderson of Calmar. She was born in 1876 in Norway, and immigrated at an early age with her family to America, then to Calmar. In 1894 she was married to John Peterson, Jr., to which union were born two children, Clarence, aged 9, and Elsie, aged 6, who, with her husband, survive. The sympathy of a large circle of friends goes to the stricken relatives.
