Word reached Hesper on the 22d of the death at Hesper, N. D. of Mrs. Wm. Haines after an illness of but two weeks, leaving her husband and three small children, the youngest being twins but two weeks old, sadly bereft of a loving wife and mother. Olive Hubbell was born in Hesper about twenty-seven years ago, but spent most of her life in Wisconsin. A few years ago she came back to Hesper and engaged in teaching for a few terms. She then went to North Dakota, filed on a claim, and afterward was united in marriage with Wm. Haines, a former Hesper, Iowa boy. Mrs. Haines was a young woman of many sterling qualities and made friends wherever she made her home, all of whom in this hour of affliction extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
