A telegram was received Monday by S. Bloxham saying that his daughter, Mrs. George Madden, was dead, that the cause of death was congestion of the bowels and that the body would be brought here for interment. That was the first intimation her parents had that she was not in her usual health, hence the shock was doubly severe. Last Friday her parents received a letter from her and she stated that she was, feeling quite well. This is the second similar affliction inside of two months. On March 10, Mr. Bloxham arrived home with the body of his son, Charles, who had died in the hospital in Minneapolis after a very brief illness. In the death of Mrs. Madden it is particularly sad for she leaves three small children, the youngest about a month old, without a mother's care. When the body will arrive or when the funeral will occur we can not say at this writing. Obituary next week. Later:—-The body will be here to-night at 10:53 and the funeral will occur to-morrow at 3 o’clock p. m.

Geo. Madden and son and Miss Alice Bloxham accompanied the body of Mrs. Madden here, where the funeral was held from the U. B. church Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock. The church was well filled and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. Rev. Leamon officiated. The death of Emma Madden occurred in the very prime of life, when she had hopes of many long and happy years, and her death is unusually bad; from the fact that she leavens three small children. The sorrowing husband and Alice Bloxham returned to their home in Minnesota Monday morning. We are not furnished an obituary.
Transcriber’s Note: She is listed in the Bloomfield Cemetery records as Emma Bloxam. She was born March 13, 1869 and died May 9, 1904.
