Hans Lovstuen was called to the poor house at Freeport Sunday by the sudden death on Saturday of Mrs. Ragnild Peterson (Snikkon.) The remains were taken to Mr. L’s home at which place the funeral was held, Rev. Borge officiating. She was buried in the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Peterson was one of the first Norwegian settlers in this vicinity. Her husband died many years ago. As she had no children her home for many years was with relatives but last year she was taken to the poor farm where she died. She was eighty-eight years old.
