DEATH OF MRS. C. E. DICKERMAN
This Event Occurred at Vosberg, Miss., on Saturday Last.
Intelligence came to Mrs. S. W. Matteson last Saturday afternoon that her sister-in-law, Mrs. C, E. Dickerman of St. Paul—had died; but no particulars have yet been received. Only n few general facts are known. Mrs. Dickerman went south early in March, accompanied by her son Arthur; and Mr. Dickerman joined her soon after. Her Decorah friends had no intimation that the final summons was so near at hand. She had been in declining health for two years or so, but a fatal termination so soon was unanticipated. The event took place at Vosberg, Mississippi, on the Gulf coast,
Mrs. Dickerman was born in Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Greene, in 1834, and had just passed into her seventy-first year She married Mr. Dickerman in 1857, and came at once to Decorah which was her home for about thirty years, or until Mr. Dickerman’s operations as a capitalist made St. Paul a more desirable place of residence. To them four sons and one daughter were born, all of them living. In every relation of life—in the home, in her church, and in society—she was a true woman, loving all that was good, pure and womanly. Every remembrance of her by old friends is sweet and kindly; for they realize she has passed on and into heavenly rest.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Elizabeth who is buried in Oakland Cemetery in St. Paul. She was born February 9, 1834 and died April 30, 1904
