—Dr. Willett went to Ossian yesterday to officiate at the funeral of Mrs. D. D. Rosa.

Died:—Last Monday morning, Mrs. D. D. Rosa. Deceased had an operation performed about a week ago for a tumor, and was unable to withstand its effects. Interment will take place next Wednesday at the Centennial cemetery.

Mrs. D. D. Rosa is Dead.
Ossian Bee:—Mrs. D. D, Rosa died at her home in this city Monday morning, February 15th, 1904 at the age of 46 years, 6 months and 5 days. She had been ill for some time, and about one week prior to her death submitted to an operation in hopes of receiving relief from long and painful suffering, but owing to the weakness of her condition she could not survive the operation
Emma E. Vance was born in Bloomfield township, Winnesheik{sic} county, Iowa, August 10th, 1857, and June 11th, 1881, she was united in marriage to Mr. D, D. Rosa She was a good, kind woman, and was respected by all who knew her. Her death is deeply deplored by a large circle of friends, and her husband has the heartfelt sympathy of all. Aside from her husband she leaves to mourn her departure her aged mother at Fagan, S, D. and three brothers, George and Jacob Vance of Spirit Lake, and James Vance of Alexandria. Minn. The funeral services were conducted yesterday at the Centennial church and were largely attended. The pall bearers were C. H. Blanchaine, F. Frantzen, George and Edward Webster, Joseph and David Weitgenant.
