The sad intelligence was received here Monday p. m. of the death of Mrs. David Alspaugh at her home at Seymour, Mo. Mrs. Alspaugh lived here for many years and has a host of friends who will mourn her death. She was of kindly disposition; a good nurse and was always ready to minister to the sick. The sorrowing friends have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.

Mention was made last week of the death of Mrs. David Alspaugh at Seymour, Mo., but no particulars of biography were obtainable at that writing. On account of the wonderful popularity of the deceased in this section we may be pardoned for again refering to her and appending the following biography which was furnished us by her daughter. Mrs. Anson Cornell. From a personal letter we are informed that the immediate cause of death was pneumonia; that while among strangers they found many good friends who rendered very willing assistance in caring for the mother and wife. Obituary:—Rosida Lappin was born in New Diggings, Wis., March 26, 1853. She was married to David A Alspaugh March 23, 1870, in Decorah, Iowa. They resided in Castalia until August, 1902, when they removed to Randalia, Iowa, where they lived with their daughter and family moving with them to their present home near Seymour, Mo., Nov. 28, 1903. She died Feb. 5, 1904, at 4:45 p. m. She is survived by her husband, one son, Wm. K. of Memphis, Tenn., and one daughter, Florence Cornell, and family. Also her mother at New Diggings, Wis., and brother, Jas, V. Lappin, and family, of Leadville, Colo.
