A Sudden Death.
Carsten Helseth, one of the section men under Gruver, fell Tuesday evening from a hand car, about two miles east of town. When his companions reached himn he was raised up, breathed two or three times, and expired. The freight train brought the body here, an undertaker was called, and the body conveyed to Mr. Fawcett’s where he had been making his home most of the time for four years. He spent the winter in Decorah with his mother and sister, Mrs. Tofte, and had returned about a week ago to his work here. A sister, Mrs. Tull Gruver, living near Brainard, was notified, also his people at Decorah. Mr. Tofte came and took the body to Decorah on Thursday Deceased was unmarried and about 56 years old quiet and industrious. Heart failure was the supposed cause of death.—West Union Gazette.
