At Rest.
Marion Louisa Anderson, wife of William F. Knorr, died Saturday, Feb. 25th, 1905, aged 37 years, 3 months and 24 days. Mrs. Knorr was born Nov. 1st, 1867, at Waukon, and was married Oct. 29th, 1894, to William F. Knorr. They lived at Postville and Lawler before coming to Decorah, but since 1897 they have resided here. Two children were born to them—Bessie, aged nine, and Charlie, aged seven.
Mrs. Knorr has been in poor health about seven years but being of a sunny and cheerful disposition she bore her suffering in silence. She has been confined to her bed since Dec. 20, 1904, and suffered from a complication of diseases, which terminated in lung trouble. About three o’clock last Saturday the earthly ties were severed and she passed out as one in sweet slumber. Beside her husband and two children she leaves her aged father, J. C. Anderson, one brother, L. J. Anderson of Decorah, and one sister, Mrs. Conover P. Beale of Waukon, Iowa. She was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah, also of the Ladies of the Maccabees, who besides a large circle of friends and neighbors will ever bear her in kind remembrance. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the house, and at 3 o’clock at the church, and the remains were placed in the vault until spring.
The family and relatives extend thanks to the many kind friends and neighbors who so cheerfully administered to the wants of their loved one during her last moments.Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Phelps Cemetery shows the spelling of her name as Marion Louise.
