HIRAM WHEELER.
Hiram Wheeler was born March 30th, 1810, in Jefferson county, N. Y., and died Monday at the home of his daughter Mrs. E. A. Barsch, in this city, aged nearly ninety-five years. From his New York home Mr. Wheeler came west and located to Etna, Minn., but for a number of years he has been a resident of Decorah. Deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, having served with the Minnesota Mounted Rangers and also in Co. G, 47th Wisconsin Infantry. He was twice married and is survived by four children. Besides Mrs. Barsch there are Mrs. S. K. Pettit of Ida Grove, S. V. Wheeler of Marshall, Minn., and Mrs. Geo. Durst of Thayer, Mo.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows he is buried in Russell Cemetery and died January 5, 1905.
