THE WORK OF THE REAPER.
PARMAN.
The death of Mrs. Edward J. Parman, which occurred Sunday at her home on Winnebago street, brought sadness to many hearts. While for years she has been a semi-invalid, some of the time quite seriously indisposed, her bright and cheerful manner and her gracious greeting of all who enjoyed her acquaintance won friends on every side, causing them to forget that possibly behind it all there was suffering she would not permit them to see. Since early spring she had not felt as well as usual, and during a recent visit to Chicago she was advised by physicians to take every care for her health. Ten days before her death, while returning from an afternoon party, she was stricken by accute Bright’s disease. She rallied from the first attack and for a few days seemed to be improving, but toward the last of last week her condition grew worse and on Sunday morning it became evident that she had but a short time to live. Death claimed her at four o’clock in the afternoon
Mrs. Parman was the youngest daughter of John Greer and was born in Decorah May the 12th, 1871. Previous to her marriage she taught in the public schools at Sibley and Rock Rapids and her success at both places was a fitting tribute to her capability as a teacher and winning personality. On June 22, 1899, she was married to E. J. Parman. To him and to the father, sisters and brothers who survive her, the sympathy of the community goes out.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home, Rev. M. Willett officiating.
