The funeral of Mrs. M. Forde was held on Saturday last and a large number of old friends and neighbors gathered to pay their last respects to one of the pioneers of Pleasant township. Mrs. Forde was in her 87th year and her death was due largely to old age. Her husband died nine years ago and she is survived by three daughters and four sons:—Mrs. J. Jossendahl. Mrs. K. T. Arneson of Highlandville. Mrs. Andrew Grindeland and Ole Forde of Warren, Minn., Rev. Forde of Starbuck, Minn., Magnus Forde of Minneapolis and John Forde with whom she lived. There were numerous grand children and seven great grand children among her descendants. She came to Pleasant township forty-nine years ago.
