Julius Severson, son of Asle Severson died of hemorrhage of the lungs last Thursday and his funeral was hold from the Big Canoe church Monday. The death of this young man was sudden and in a way shocking. While it was known that he could not recover he was able to be about and on Thursday visited Decorah. On his return home he was taken with a fit of coughing which produced a severe hemorrhage and he died in about ten minutes.

Information added by Norman Hjelmeland as to the death certificate: He was born Febraury 22, 1879 and died September 21, 1905 and is buried in Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery.
