ED. BLACKMARR KILLED.
A Son of By. Blackmarr of Burr Oak Meets Death at His Post on a Railway Engine.
A copy of the Salt Lake Tribune of July 21st received Tuesday, brings very unwelcome inteligence of the death of Ed. Blackmarr, a former Burr Oak resident, better known through his parentage than personally. He was the son of Byron Blackmarr, formerly of Burr Oak. Mr. Blackman was pursuing his occupation as a railway engineer and was running a train near Milford, Utah, on the 20th, when an expansion of the rails, due to extreme heat, derailed his engine. The fireman jumped through the cab window and escaped, but Mr. Blackmarr was pinned between the boiler and cab and covered with several tons on coal. When released it was found that life was extinct.
The paper we received says Mr. Blackmarr was a favorite with all persons. He was married and leaves a wife and two children. The hearts of his old acquaintances in Burr Oak will go out in sympathy for the bereaved.

Transcriber's Note: Find-a-Grave shows this was Edwin and that he was born January 24, 1872.
