George Theron Richards was born April 5, 1882; died June 23, 1005. The most of his life has been spent on the old home farm where he was born. Several times he has made trips to western points with the hope of benefiting his health, but received no permanent relief. The last few years he had been a great sufferer but he bore it all with cheerful fortitude. Theron was a bright young man and was very popular with his young associates. The funeral occurred from the Universalist church and the house was filled with friends and neighbors, who thus paid their last respects to the dead. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev Mrs. Olmstead of Decorah. The body was interred in the Bloomfield cemetery.

We have been asked to make a correction in the biography of the late Theron Richards. The date of his birth should have been Feb. 5, 1882.
