Brought Home for Burial.
The remains of Albert Rosa, the youngest son in the well known pioneer family of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Rosa, were brought from Nebraska last Saturday and were buried on Sunday in the cemetery attached to the Centennial church. Mr. Rosa was better known locally by the nickname of “Polk,” which he carried in boyhood or until he left this vicinity He had qualified himself, in part, for the legal profession, ere he went west, and had a decided taste for politics. From Winneshiek County he went first to Missouri Valley Junction, and later removed to Nebraska. Of his career during the later years but little is accurately known save that he was twice married, and his second wife survives him. He was buried by his brethren of Arcturus Lodge of Ossian, assisted by members of Copestone lodge at Calmar and the lodge at Frankville, Rev Smith of Calmar acting as chaplain.
