Former Decorian Dead.
At Sioux Fals{sic} on the 3d inst. Mrs. Ed Parliaman died, in her 75th year. The Argus Leader gives the facts as follows:
Death claimed another old resident of Sioux Falls this morning when Mrs. J. {?} Parliaman passed over to the other side. Death occurred some time between daylight and 7 o’clock. Mrs. Parliaman. who has been in poor health for some time, retired as usual last night. It has been the practice of different members of R. W. Parliaman’s family, with whom Mrs. Parliaman was making her home, to visit the bedside of the old lady at different times during the night to see if anything was wanted. About daylight Mrs. R W Parliaman was at the bedside and the old lady seemed the same as usual. About 7 o’clock when the granddaughter went into the bedroom she found that the spirit had flown,
Mrs. Parliaman was born September 25, 1830, at Portage county, Ohio. In 1878 with her family she came to Sioux Falls, and remained here until 1884 when she went to St. Paul and made her home with a daughter. Since that time she has made her home with her different children until last summer when she came to Sioux Falls and has since resided with her son R. W. Besides the son in Sioux Falls there are two other children— daughters — one residing at St. Paul and the other at St. Charles, Minn. These two daughters have been notified and funeral arrangements cannot be made until they are heard from.
