OLAF HOFFOSS.
Tuesday evening about eight o’clock, after an illness covering more than a year, Olaf, only son of Mr. and Mrs. O. G Hoffoss, died from tuberculosis. De-ceased was born and grew to manhood in Decorah. For a number of years he was an employe under C. N .Goddard, and his faithful discharge of whatever was given him to do, and his courtesy to patrons of the store, won not only the respectful consideration of his employer but the friendship of a wide circle of acquaintances. He was a member of the United Lutheran church and of Luther league, the young people’s auxiliary to the church. About two years ago several attacks of illness caused fear that he was afflicted with tuberculosis, but not until about a year ago was he compelled to give up employment. It was hoped that an outdoor life and good care might bring a return of health, but already the disease had progressed too far. During the long months of his illness he was a patient sufferer. The funeral will be held to-morrow afternoon at the United Lutheran church, Rev. Hougen officiating. In their affliction Mr. and Mrs. Hoffoss have the sympathy of all their acquaintances. In every way the deceased was a dutiful and loving son and a model young man.
