Loren Humphrey passed away on Wednesday at Iowa City where he went recently for treatment. The remains arrived home yesterday in charge of his brother Guy. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Methodist church, in charge of the A. O. U. W. of which order the deceased was a member. Rev. Gammons will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot at Oak Lawn.

OBITUARY.
Loren R. Humphrey, son of John and Anna Humphrey, was born Nov. 30, 1875, in Winnesheik{sic} county, and has lived on the old homestead all his life. Last fall he was seized with the illness which resulted in his death on Wednesday last, May 29, at the University hospital at Iowa City, whither he went for treatment a short time ago.
The immediate relatives left to mourn his loss are an aged mother, one brother, Six half-sisters and one half- brother.
The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, in charge of Cresco Lodge No. 350, Ancient Order of United Workmen, of which lodge the deceased was an honored brother. Rev. Gammons preached the funeral sermon and appropriate music was furnished at the church by the regular choir, and at the home and grave by the W. O. W. male quartette. The large attendance of friends and his lodge brothers spoke eloquently of the love and esteem in which the deceased was held by all his acquaintances.
Among those from a distance who at- tended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Trask of Blunt, S. D., Mrs. Fred Walker of Renwick, Iowa; Mrs. J. F. Jones of Mitchell, Iowa, and Ed. Mc Culla of Osage.
