LIGHT:
Clarissa J. Moody was born October 3, 1824, at Rome, Cattaragus County New York, where she lived during her childhood and youth. May 1, 1844, she was married to T. L. Light, and the following year they moved to Bartington, Cook County, Illinois, residing there until 1856, when they came to Iowa settling in Albion Twp., which was their home until the death of Mr. Light, which occurred in 1879. Since then she has resided with her children until the day of her death, July 8, 1906.
She leaves a daughter and a son to mourn her loss, besides a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. B F. Hollenbeck, died in California, seven years ago, with whom she was then residing. Mrs. John Hallman, the other daughter, and Frank Light, her son, at whose home she died, reside in this city.
Mrs. Light has been a life-long member of the Methodist Episcopal church, living and dying strong in the faith of The Master.
She was burled from the M. E. church, Tuesday, July l0th, her pastor, Bev. Gammons, officiating.
Interment was in the Kendallvllle Cemetery, beside her husband who preceded her in death so many years before.
