A Sudden Death.
Late yesterday afternoon, Ivory A. Libbey expired in the Alliance store almost without a moments warning.
He had been slowly gaining in health, as he supposed since leaving the hospital where he underwent an opera-tion during the winter, and yesterday took advantage of the fine weather to come to town and transact some busi-ness and to attend the funeral of Dan Platt. After leaving the church he transacted some business about town and accompanied his wife to the Alliance store. While there he complained of not feeling well and said he would go out in the open air and accordingly went out and sat on a roll of wire standing near the door, from which he soon fell. He was at once carried inside the door and physicians summoned but to no avail for death was almost instaneous,{sic} he never uttering a word after he was stricken.
The funeral will be held from his late residence at 1:30 o’clock, Thursday afternoon.
