OBITUARY.
Lavina Hall was born Sept. 10, 1847, In Cattaragus county, N. Y., and died at Independence, Iowa, January 22, 1906, aged 58 years. Sept. 10, 1867, she was united in marriage to William Shurtleff and soon after they settled at Kendallville, Iowa, where they made their home continuously thereafter.
The funeral was held at the M. E church at Kendallville, Iowa, on Wednesday at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. John Gammons of Cresco officiating. The Interment was in the Eddy cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone shows the spelling of her name as Levina Shurtliff and her year of birth as 1844 and year of death as 1905.
