Mrs. Tobias Benson died October 5, 1905, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ole Hovey, in Winneshiek coun¬ty;.aged 77 years, 45 years of which had been spent in that county. Her husband died about 25 years ago, and the deceased suffered with ill health most of the time since, the last 12 years being cared for at the home of her daughter where she died.
She leaves three sons and a daugh¬ter residing in Orleans twp., and one son residing near Lime Springs in this county. Three others died two or them about 20 years ago, an¬other son only recently. The funeral occurred last Monday with burial in the Orleans cemetery, Rev. O. Ottersen officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Orleans Lutheran Cemetery records indicate this was Anne; however, both Tobias and Anne show a last name of Raasta. I researched this name as it was referred to in her son Bent’s obituary. It also shows her birth date as July 8, 1828.
