Thos. Bakula, who died last week in Jackson township, was one of the largest men in Winneshlek county. He weighed 386 pounds, and it required a coffin six feet and three Inches long, twenty inches high, and thirty-one inches wide to receive his remains.—Ossian Bee.

Mr. Thomas Bakula. a widely known resident of Jackson Junction, died at his home Thursday morning, Dec. 1st, 1904, at the age of 59 years, and 7 months. He was born in Nuzice, Bohemia, and came to this country in 1870 and settled in Jackson township, where he has since resided. He is survived by his wife and six children, as follows:— Mrs. John Fitzemans and Mrs. Frank Coats of Cedar Rapids, Joseph, Michael, Frank, and Anna, who are still at home. The funeral was held Saturday at 10 o’clock, at the Catholic church in this city. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Bakula and family extend heartfelt thanks to their many friends who so kindly assisted them in their sad bereavement.
