Laurice Vivian (Gossman) Fulsaas was born March 10, 1932 in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Leland and Irma (Patterson) Gossman. She graduated from Canton (Minnesota) High School with the class of 1950.

Laurice was united in marriage to Merle A. Fulsaas on October 27, 1952 in the Rectory of St. Agnus Catholic Church, Cresco, IA. This union was blessed with two sons: Gary and John.

Laurice was a homemaker, raised her boys and helped Merle with their family farm. In 1973, she graduated from Area One Technical College in Calmar, Iowa with a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. She then became the office nurse for Dr. Robert Dolan in Decorah. After his retirement, she became a floor nurse at Wellington Place in Decorah for many years. Laurice was a longtime member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and was active in the Rosary Society for over 50 years. She loved gardening, flowers and yard work, and liked to be outside.

Laurice died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her home in Decorah at age 86.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Merle on September 28, 2008; one brother, Donald Gossman; and one sister, Lois Henry.

Laurice is survived by two sons, Gary Fulsaas and John Fulsaas of Decorah; one granddaughter, Abby Rose of Port St. Lucie, FL; one sister, Norma Oyloe of Owatonna, MN; one brother-in-law, Roy (Pat) Fulsaas of Ridgeway, IA; one sister-in-law, Joanne Fulsaas of Decorah; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a loving wife, loving mother and awesome grandmother!
