A Double Murder.
The night that Gustave Krueger was deposited in the Iowa river after his brutal murder, a pair of twins, probably murdered, consigned to the grave at Kendallvllle. They are alleged to been given birth by a Miss Dreas, living a few blocks south of Jackson’s corner, in Cresco. Both passed away from the effects of convulsions, supposed to have been produced by strychnine poisoning, after which they were taken to Kendallvllle and buried in the night. Their bodies have been taken up and their stomachs removed and will be chemically analysed. Tom Robinson, their alleged father, is in jail and his case will probably go before the grand jury next week, as he is suspected of the crime of putting them out of the world.
Since the above was in type an analysis of the contents of their stomachs have been made and distinct traces of strychnine found. It has also been found that Robinson purchased strychnine at the Brooks drug store.
