CLARENCE ROTHMEYER
Clarence H. Rothmeyer, 84, of Calmar, passed away at his home from a heart attack on Saturday, February 4, 1989. He was a retired painter.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1989 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Hirsch officiated. Music was provided by the St. Aloysius Adult Choir. Pallbearers were Jene Smith, Joel Smith, Wayne Smith, Tim Kuennen, Paul Kuennen, Kenneth Kuennen. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery with French Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
Clarence H. Rothmeyer was born May 10, 1904, in Festina, the son of John Maria Hanken Rothmeyer. He received his education from the Festina school.
On October 25, 1932, he married Felicia Kuennen at St. Lucas, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Felicia, three children, Carol of St. Louis, MO; Jerome, Largo, Florida; and Margaret Cremer, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Rothmeyer lived in the Festina-Calmar area and worked at J.F. Anderson Lumber Co., Calmar Manufacturing and was a self-employed painter and finisher He was affiliated with St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Calmar.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.
