Obituary.
Miss Lydia Edna Hill, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Hill, was born near Ridgeway, August 6, 1887. After the death of her mother she moved to Lyle, Minn., in 1893, where she lived with her father and sister Carrie one year. She then made her home with her grandma Winters until July 29, 1901, when death claimed grandma. On the 29th of August 1902, while at at{sic} the home of Jonn Mintey she was taken ill with diptheria which resulted in her death August 31, 1902, her sister Carrie being with her during her illness. Her aged father, four sisters and four brothers survive her. Memorial services were held at the German M. E. church near Ridgeway, Sunday, October 19th at 2 p. m., where the remains were laid to rest, Rev. John Gammons preaching the sermon.Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in New Oregon Cemetery shows her first name as Lydie.

A memorial funeral service for Lydia Hill, who died some time ago of diptheria, will be held next Sunday after¬noon at the German M. E. church. Rev Gammons, of Cresco, officiating.
