The body of James Stockman, who came to this section of country 31 years ago, was brought in on the west bound train Monday. He died at Madrid, Ia., and was about 74 years of age. He was an elder brother of John Stockman. The interment was in the Kendallville cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born March 12, 1825 and died April 28, 1900.
