Services held for Lanette Helm, 38
Funeral services for Lanette Helm of Decorah were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, rural Decorah. Schluter Balik Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Lanette, 38, died Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital from cancer.
Lanette Jo Helm was born May 4, 1964 in Charles City, the daugh¬ter of Bernard and Vivian (Holst) Gielenfeldt. She attended and graduated from Nashua High School in 1982.
On November 22, 1986 she married Scott Helm in Charles City. Lanette did ministry with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.
She was a member of the’ Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in rural Decorah. She enjoyed painting and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Scott of Decorah; her mother: Vivian Gielenfeldt of New Hampton; one brother: Larry of Tracy, CA; and one sister: Cindy Davis of Port St. Lucy, FL.
Lanette was preceded in death by her father Bernard.
