Jerome T. Einck
WAUCOMA - Jerome T. Einck, 76, died July 3, 2002 at his home of cancer.
A Funeral Mass was
held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma with Rev. Marvin Salz officiating. Music was provided by Mary Dietzenbach as organist. Lectors were Dave Einck and Nancy Einck. Gift bearers were Travis Chapman and Dennis Einck.
Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waucoma with Jessie Massman, Marvin Schrandt, Robert Pavolec, Ken Einck, Ed Hackman and Don Einck as casket bearers.
Jerome was born Oct. 24, 1926 in Festina, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Huinker) Einck. He attended St. Mary's School in Festina and served with the Armed Forces in Korea. On Feb. 6, 1951 he was united in marriage to Rita Lou Junk in St. Lucas. They farmed for many years before retiring. Jerome also worked for many years with the Waucoma veterinarian, worked at the sawmill and worked at the Waucoma Feed Mill. Jerome enjoyed being with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Lou; his son, Tim (Jane) Einck, New Hampton; his daughter, Trudy (Giis) Conner, Waterloo; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Lorraine (Hugo) Schrandt, Festina; two brothers, Leander Einck, Calmar and Leo (Bernice) Einck, Waterloo and his best friend, Jean Ott, Waucoma.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Terry, in 1983; three brothers, Edward, Herbert and Leroy and two sisters, Helen Ott and Rose Nathem.
