Hugh Larkin, who lived on the farm in the north-east corner of the county from its earliest settlement is dead and was burried{sic} in the Catholic cemetery at St. Kaerns{sic} yesterday. He was quite advanced in years, but we are unable to state his age. His wife died some years ago, they had no children.

Transcriber’s Note: St. Kieran’s Cemetery show he was 81 years old. His gravestone shows he died Aug. 5, 1899.
