We regret exceedingly to have to report an accident at Fort Atkinson by which intense sorrow has visited the home of Mr. Henry Huber, of Fort Atkinson. Last Friday afternoon, about 2 o'clock, while engaged in road work just outside of the corporation, Julius Huber was buried under a bank of earth and smothered to death.
The bank was about twelve feet high and caved in without warning, covering the young man so completely that it took ten minutes of the most rapid work to get to the body. When uncovered the body was found doubled up with head almost touching the knees, and with an immense weight of earth resting upon his back. It is estimated that the landslide weighed upwards of twenty tons.
The young man was about fifteen years old, and of a genial, jovial disposition that made him a favorite with all who knew him. The afflicted parents have the most profound sympathy of all in their great affliction.
