Miss Lily C. Liquin, life long resident of Pleasant Township, died May 22 at the Tweeten Memorial Hospital in Spring Grove. She was 77.
Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Emil C. Martinson at the Big Canoe Lutheran Church on Friday afternoon with burial in the Methodist Cemetery at Big Canoe. Pallbearers were Herbert Stoen, Henry Bentley, Carl Losen, Stanley Arneson, Walter Bigler and Lloyd Strinmoen. Miss Barbara Stoen was organist and Timothy Martinson was soloist. Funeral arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.
Miss Liquin was born September 28, 1895, the daughter of Hans and Anna Liquin. She attended rural schools and studied music at Cedar Falls. She was a member of the Big Canoe Lutheran Church.
Miss Lily Liquin is survived by a brother, Oscar Liquin of Pleasant Township. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.Decorah Public Opinion, May 29, 1973
