Thomas Joseph Lensing, 68, of Caledonia, Minn., passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

He was born in Decorah Jan. 27, 1949. He married Bonnie Jean Thingvold Aug. 3, 1968, in Hesper. Tom enjoyed telling stories about the things he saw and things that happened as he drove his semi-truck across the country. He loved all types of music and fixing and collecting classic cars; his favorite was the 1969 Mustang. An avid race fan, he enjoyed stock car racing and spending time at the raceway. Beloved husband, father, son and brother, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Lensing (Thingvold); children, Candy Power and Cory (Jamie) Lensing; grandchildren: Preston, Trevor and Cameron; mother, Ruth Esther Lensing; sisters, Colleen Buechler and Becky (Mark) Yerrington; brothers, Ron (Connie) Lensing and Carl Lensing; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Roman Lensing; brothers: Tony, William and Henry Lensing; infant twin sisters, Margie and Marie; mother and father-in-law, Gerhard (Zola) Thingvold; brother-in-law, John Thingvold.

Services were private. Cremation rites were accorded. Christenson Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Memorials to the family. rockfordfunerals.com.
