Clifford Kittleson funeral services held Tuesday

Funeral services for Charles Clifford Kittleson, 81, of Decorah, were held. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. at the Decorah Lutheran Church.

Mr. Kittleson died December 13 at the Palmer Memorial; Hospital In West Union. He had been a fieldman for the Decorah; Creamery and also had been employed at the Luther College Bookstore.

Pastors Alden H. Hovda and John Pannkuk conducted final rites. Burial was in the East Clermont Cemetery. Active pallbearers were David Kittleson, Dale Kittleson, Dale Villhauer, Steve Klttelson, John Klttelson, Frank Olson and Gary Klttelson.

Honorary casket bearers were Charles Stoen, Carsten Ingyoldstad, Leonard Morrison, John Luzum, Martin Winkie, M.J. Moellerman and Dan Gabrielson.

Mrs. Marjorie Wharton was organist and accompanied congregational singing. The Luren Singers sang In tribute to Mr. Kittleson who had been a member of the Society.

Arrangements were made by Stelne Funeral Home.

Mr. Kittleson is survived by his wife, the former Alice Gilbertson, whom he married Feb. 11, 1928 In Clermont; three sons and two daughters, Dean Kittleson, Elgin, Ia., Gerald Kittleson, San Jose, Calif., Lorraine (Mrs. Herald Hoover) Filmore, Calif., Howard Kittleson, Evergreen, Colo., and Carolyn (Mrs. Richard Ellinghysen) Kellogg, Minn.

Other survivors are 18 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Helgerson of Clermont, la.

He was preceded In death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Charles Clifford Kittleson was born July 19, 1899 in Clermont, Ia., to Knute and Christine (Ostlie) Kittelson. He graduated from Clermont High School and attended St Olaf College.

Mr. Kittleson was a member of the choir and the church council at Decorah Lutheran.
