This vicinity received a severe shock, last week one day, when it was reported that Albert Soukup bad passed away at his home, near the river, on Thursday evening, after a short illness. The bereaved children are now without any parent, there{sic} mother having died nearly ten years ago. The heart felt sympathy of the neighbors and friends are extended to them in their hour of great sorrow. May the all wise providence bind up their bleeding heart and be their guide and protector through life. Funeral services were conducted at the house Sunday morning and at the Catholic church in Spillville in the afternoon, with interment in cemetery close by.
