Nita Albertson, age 78, of Calmar, IA, died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Barthell Eastern Star Home in Decorah, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Stone Ridge Church, 1111 Montgomery Street, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Ed Krawczyk presiding. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Ridgeway, IA.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, IA, and also after 9:30 a.m., at the church on Saturday morning.

Nita is survived by her husband, Ronald Albertson, Calmar, IA. One son: Duane (Beth) Albertson, Calmar, IA. Three grandchildren: Rachel (Kevin) Andera, Calmar, IA, Sara (Logan) Einck, Festina, IA, and Eric (Alicia Otto) Albertson, Calmar, IA. Five great grandchildren: Hayden, Landon and Nolan Andera; Jackson Einck and Canaan Albertson. One sister: Marlene (Roger) Berg, Decorah, IA. One brother: Curtis Nelson, Riceville, IA. One brother-in-law: Lewis (Norma) Albertson, Calmar, IA. Two sisters-in-law: Debra (Tom) Lensch, Decorah, IA, and Jane Albertson, Rochester, MN.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents: Kermit and Gertrude (Nath) Nelson. Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Orlando and Florence Albertson. Two brothers-in-law: Orlando Parnell Albertson and Roger (Betty) Albertson.
