Lucille Zahasky, age 87, of Spillville died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday January 21, 2017 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at 207 Church St. in Spillville. Burial will be in the church cemetery

Visitation will be after 10:00 at the church on Saturday.

Balik Funeral Home in Spillville is in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Loretta (Sobolik) Zahasky was born December 9, 1929 to William and Mary (Kuboushek) Sobolik. She graduated from Calmar High School. Lucille married Melvin Zahasky May 1, 1950 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, they lived in Conover until 1996 when they moved to Spillville. Lucille enjoyed mowing her lawn, gardening and shopping at Hobby Lobby. she was a life time member of St. Wenceslaus.

Lucille is survived by her son: Larry (Katie Houlihan) Zahasky, Decorah, IA. Three grandsons: Jeff (Brenda) Zahasky, Calmar, IA, Chad Zahasky, Decorah, IA and Alan (Jamie) Zahasky, Iowa City, IA. Six great grandchildren: Trey Bauers, Harlie, Garet, Hadley, Harper and Huck Zahaskey. One brother; Leo (Sally) Sobolik, Marion, IA.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents: William and Mary (Kuboushek) Sobolik her Husband: Melvin May 13, 2001 Brother: Don (Arlene) Sobolik, and one sister: Darlene Sobolik.
