Funeral Rites for Mrs. Mary Bruening Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Bruening 72, who died Wednesday afternoon at her home following a long illness were held Saturday morning at nine o’clock at the St. Aloysius Catholic church with burial in the church cemetery Rev A. S Peikert conducted the service.

The pallbearers were Felin Ignatius and Norbert Hageman, Henry Schneberger, Will Luzum, Will Hosting.

As Mary Kinnebeck, she was born in Acadia, Wis., March 28, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kinnebeck. At the age of 17 years she came to Winneshiek county.

On Nov. 3, 1897 she was united in marriage with Henry Bruening at the St. Aloysius church. They established there home on a farm.

Mr. Bruening and one daughter preceeded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Ben of Freeburg, Minn., Charles of Cresco, and Albert and Aloysius on the home farm, and three sisters, Mrs. Christine Schissel of Rockford, Ia., Mrs. Joseph Salivery of Spooner, Wis., and Mrs. Barney Farwick of Pipestone, Minn., and several grandchildren.
