Decorah- Services for Mrs. John David Hexom, 70, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the Fjelstul funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church. The Rev. R. A. Ofstedal will officiate, and burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Hexom died Monday evening at Decorah hospital after an illness of six months.

Emma Dahlen was born Jan. 23, 1878, in Glenwood township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Dahlen. Her marriage to Dr. J. D. Hexom occurred on June 12, 1903. For several years their home was at Highlandville, but for the past 30 years it has been in Decorah.

She is survived by her husband, and her children, Lester Hexom, of Ossian; Lloyd Hexom, of Decorah, and Mrs. Herman Voss, of Chicago. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one brother and three sisters, Andrew Dahlen and Mrs. Julia Lee, of Glenwood township; Mrs. Sophia Holkesvik, of Crookston, Minn., and Mrs. Nellie Ramsey, of Cibicue, Ariz.
