Final Rites Held For Mrs. Schissel At St. Aloysius

CALMAR (Special) – Final rites for Mrs. Paul Schissel, 42, who died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Hampton, were held Thursday at 9:30 a. m. at the St. Aloysius Church with burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.

The Rev. Gerald Steiert officiated, and nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers.

The remains were at the French Funeral Home where the rosary was said Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p. m. Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock, the members of the rosary society recited the rosary.

Angela Hageman was born in Winneshiek County April 11, 1915, the daughter of Mrs. Henry Hageman and the late Mr. Hageman. She received her education at St. Mary’s Parochial School in Festina.

Sept. 11, 1934, she was united in marriage with Paul Schissel at St. Mary’s Church in Festina. They established their home on the Schissel farm west of Calmar. She was a member of St. Aloysius parish and the Rosary Society.

Survivors.

Surviving are her husband and eight children, Dorothy, La Crosse, Wis., Alvin, Rita, Richard, Helen, Bette, Bobbie, Kenny, all at home. Also her mother, Mrs. Henry Hageman, and five brothers, Leo of Gettysburg, S. D., Albert of Hoven, S. D., Ray of Ossian, Alphonse of Cresco and Norbert of Calmar.
