Death Takes Calmar Woman October 8

Miss Johanna Schneberger, 54, died Sunday, Oct. 8, at her home west of Calmar following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 from the French Funeral Home in Calmar to St. Mary’s Catholic church in Festina with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. A. J. Rubly conducted the service. The pall bearers were Felix Hageman, Ignatius Hageman, Joseph Giesing, Norbert Hageman, Paul Schissel, Albert Bruening.

The deceased was born in Washington township August 20, 1890, the daughter of the late George and Mary Schneberger. She received her education at St. Mary’s parochial school in Festina and was a member of the Rosary society.

Surviving are two brothers, Leo and Henry Schneberger at home, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Funke, of Ossian and two nieces, Mrs. Carl Hageman of Calmar and Miss Lucile Funke of Ossian.
