Catherine Ott, age 93, of Fort Atkinson, IA,died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, IA, with Rev. Nick March and Rev. Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, Spillville, IA.
Friends may call from 2:30-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 13, 2016, and also after 9:00 a.m., on Monday morning at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, Chekal Chapel, 201 West Main Street, Fort Atkinson, IA.
There will be a scripture service at 3:00 p.m. and a rosary at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Catherine is survived by her four sons: Roger (Judy) Ott, Fort Atkinson, IA; Linus (Bernice) Ott, New Albin, IA; Dennis (friend, Wanda Cole) Ott, Fort Atkinson, IA; and Alan Ott, Decorah, IA. Five grandchildren: Keith (Kelli) Ott, Kevin Ott, Christie (Chad) Ihde, Jaci McCartney, and Karisa Ott. Six great grandchildren: Madelyn, Emersyn and Olivia Ott; Ashlyn and Cale Ihde, and Nicole Ryan. Catherine’s siblings and their spouses: Paul (Colleen) Hageman, Decorah, IA, Rose (Linus) Tupy, Fort Atkinson, IA, Martha (Ed) Mikota, Ossian, IA, Lucy Hageman, Ossian, IA, and Gertrude Hageman, Decorah, IA.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Elizabeth (Kriener) Hageman. Her husband: Leo Ott on Oct. 10, 1995. Her daughter: Doris Ott. Sister: Anna (Edward) Ondrashek. Brothers: Arnold Hageman and Conrad Hageman. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert and Helena (Hackman) Ott.
