Elgin Echo, Thur., 4 Jan. 1911.
Suicided at Clermont.
Paul Larson, whose home is at Decorah, committed suicide in the Rolfs pasture, Wednesday evening of last week, by hanging himself to the limb of a small box elder tree. The night previous deceased had stayed with his son, Lars Paulson, and during the day had been about Clermont. In the evening he started for his son's home and it is supposed that he then committed the rash act. The body was discovered by his son, Lars Paulson, while he was on his way to work at E. H. Appelman's. It is supposed that domestic trouble and worry had made deceased temporarily insane.
Funeral services were held from the home of his son Tuesday and the body interred in the Lutheran cemetery.
