Ossian, Ia. May 2, - Special: Miss Marie Etteldorf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Etteldorf, died at her home Tuesday evening, April 29, in the death of Miss Etteldorf, Ossian has been called upon to mourn the passing of one of its sweetest and most loveable characters and seldom has such universal sorrow been expressed as when the sad news of her death was announced. Her illness was of only a week’s duration and many were the prayers offered that her beautiful young life might be spared.

Miss Etteldorf graduated from high school here in 1912. She spent the next two years at St. Clara Academy, Sinsinawa, Wis., and then took up and completed a four year course at Wisconsin University at Madison. In September 1918, she was made principal of the Ossian high school, which position she held until her death. The funeral will be held from St. Francis De Sales Church Friday morning.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved parents, who, with one brother, Dr. Henry Etteldorf, and one sister, Rose, survive her.
