Norman G Erickson, 49, Springfield township farmer, died at his home Thursday morning, Feb. 21, of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 at the Steine funeral home and at 2 p.m.at the Washington Prairie Lutheran church with Rev. Oscar E. Engebretson officiating. Burial was held in the Washington Prairie cemetery.

The pallbearers were Fred Iverson, Alfred Blagen, Julius Myrah, Raymond Sersland, Rudolph Ode and Walter Peck. Members of the flower committee were Mrs. Robert Hjelmeland, Mrs. Ray Rasmussen, Mrs. Glen Larson and Mrs. Melvin Underbakke.

Norman Erickson was born July 7, 1902, in Pleasant township, the son of Hans and Julia Erickson, both deceased. He has lived in Pleasant and Frankville township and in Springfield township for the past seven years. He received his education in rural schools.

He married Stella Brown in Springfield township on March 3, 1937. They have two daughters, Ruth and Arlene, both at home.

Besides his wife and two daughters, Mr. Erickson is survived by two brothers, Oscar and Stanton, both of Decorah; and three sisters, Mrs. N.C. (Mary) Narveson, Mrs. T.C. (Ellen) Narveson, and Mrs. Selmer (Florence) Larson, all of Decorah.
